As far
as I am concerned, eDocs would be too expensive if it were not for these
sites:
www.TonerKits.com and
www.TonerRefillKits.com . I purchase supplies from them and refill my
own toner cartridges.
Having
to pay out $79.95 at Sam's Club for a new cartridge would be more than I
could afford and still make a profit in our business, so I have opted to
refill mine.
If you are not refilling your cartridges and buying your paper in
bulk you are wasting a ton of money. If you will invest an hour every
month or so into refilling your toner cartridges you can become a bit more
competitive on your fees. By
buying paper in bulk and refilling my HP 3015 cartridges I pay out of pocket
costs in the amount of $2.80 per 200 pages printed. If I do not take the
time to refill my cartridges, I wind up paying nearly four times as much -
each 200 job costs $8.00 in toner and paper.
You can be more competitive on your prices if you refill your cartridges.
I do not promote the idea of bidding yourself short on any job, however, I
will share that when I am dealing with a good client I can easily throw in
an eDoc here and there for free knowing that my out of pocket expense is
only $2.80 before accounting for my time involved, or electricity, or wear
and tear on my equipment.
Below
is a comparative break out to illustrate what I have written.
